Clarity, where it matters most.
An independent newsroom decoding government orders, exam updates, and public policy for Bengali readers — every claim traced to a source, every tool built on the official formula.
Why we started
BytesToday.in was founded in 2025 out of a simple frustration: too many people in West Bengal — job aspirants, pensioners, parents, and students — were being left to decode dense government orders, confusing circulars, and scattered notifications on their own.
Official websites weren't built for clarity. Coaching centers charged for information that should be free. Most news outlets moved too fast to get the details right.
We started BytesToday to close that gap — to be the platform we wished existed when we were aspirants ourselves, searching for straight answers about DA arrears, exam notifications, and admission deadlines. Today, we're an independent digital newsroom built on one editorial principle: every claim should be traceable to a source.
Mission: bridge the gap between policy and public understanding — one circular at a time.

How we hold the line
Sourcing
Every factual claim is linked to its origin — a gazette, circular, press release, or verified portal.
Cross-checking
Policy and education updates are reviewed against primary sources, including RTI responses where relevant, before publication.
Tool accuracy
Our calculators are built directly from official formulas and updated whenever those formulas change.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it visibly — not quietly.
Independence
We are not affiliated with any government body or political organization. Our coverage does not favor any party or ideology.

Their DA arrear calculator worked perfectly for my father's pension estimate.
